Fit Drop #1 · 36″ inseam · women’s jeans

Fit Drop #1 — 36-inch inseam women’s jeans.

Standard racks cap out at 32″. At 5′9″ or taller, that’s the high-water look — not the hem break the pattern was designed for. Fit Drop #1 curates the 36″ bracket from brands that grade the long block.

36–37″ inseam · Women’s

A Fit Drop is demand-first editorial. Instead of building a catalog and hoping someone finds it, Plezettes starts with a specific fit problem — one the data shows is underserved — and drops a curated set of picks that actually solve it. Fit Drop #1 is the 36″ inseam bracket for women’s jeans: three picks from brands that grade the long block, not three brands that added length at the end of the standard row and called it tall. One drop, a few picks that cleared the bar, nothing else.

The 36″ inseam bracket is the hardest to fill for a reason. At 5′9″–5′11″, a 34″ inseam clips the ankle at a precision cropped length many tall women don’t want for everyday wear — and a 38″ inseam pools on the floor without heels. The 36″ bracket is the sweet spot: full-length coverage on a longer-than-standard frame, with the hem break the pattern was drawn for. It’s also where mass-market retail consistently gives up — the 32″ block drives the whole rack, and 36″ never makes the cut.

The three picks in Fit Drop #1 each address a different angle of that bracket. The Marlow Wide-Leg Jean (Long Tall Sally) is the primary denim pick: graded 33–37″ on a taller block with an 11″+ rise and a thigh proportion for a longer femur. The Lana Wool Trouser (Long Tall Sally) covers the trouser shopper in the 34–36″ range — the same brand, the same grading philosophy, applied to a suiting-weight fabric. Both are brand-graded from the start of the size run, not extended from a shorter block at the end of the row.

The Hudson Wide-Leg Pant from Torrid addresses the cross-axis customer: the shopper who needs a longer inseam anda fuller seat, both on the same block. The standard tall block gets the length right and misses the hip. The standard plus block gets the hip right and caps out at a 32″ inseam. Torrid’s Hudson is the rare pick that bridges both dimensions, sized and graded for the frame that neither straight-tall nor standard-plus fits.

We’re still in pre-launch — Fit Drop #2 is already in the queue, targeting the 36″ bracket in a different cut. Join the waitlist and we’ll email you one time when it lands. No drip, no newsletter — one email, the day the drop goes live.

Fit Drop, not mass drop

Each Fit Drop is a curated editorial — one drop, a handful of picks that cleared the grading bar. No sprawling catalog of brands that slap extra length on the 32″ block and call it tall. Only denim and trousers drafted on a long block, proportioned for a 5′9″+ frame.

36″ is a specific claim

A 36″ inseam on this page means the pant was graded on a 36″ block — paired with an 11–12″+ rise and a thigh proportion for a longer femur. The hem hangs where the pattern was drafted, not stretched from a 32″ ankle to make the size row look complete.

Cross-axis included

Fit Drop #1 addresses the longer AND fuller bracket — the customer who needs extra inseam and extra room in the seat on the same block. The Hudson Wide-Leg Pant from Torrid is that pick: brand-graded for the frame that the straight tall block misses.
